Overview
AnyWidget (by BetaByte) turns web pages you choose into home screen widgets. AnyWidget has no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not run servers that receive your data. This policy describes what data is processed and your choices.
No account
You do not create an account with us, and we do not collect your name or email address in the app. If you email us, we use your email only to reply.
Web page capture (on your device)
To build a widget, the app loads the web addresses you enter in an Android WebView on your device and captures an image of the page, refreshing it in the background on the schedule you choose. Widget settings, URLs, and captured images are stored only on your device (local database and app files). If you sign in to a website inside the app, that site's cookies are kept in the app's WebView storage on your device so the widget can show the page; we never see or transmit them.
When pages load, your device connects directly to those websites (and any services they embed), which receive your IP address and normal browser information under their own privacy policies.
Purchases
Premium is processed by Google Play Billing; Google handles payment details. Premium status is checked with Google Play and kept on your device.
Ratings prompt
The app may show Google Play's in-app review prompt. Reviews are handled by Google Play; we do not receive data from the prompt beyond what Google Play publishes.
Ads
Free-tier users may see ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use the device advertising ID, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve, personalize, and measure ads and to prevent fraud. You can reset or opt out of ad personalization in Android settings. Premium removes ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data for ads.
Data sharing
The only third parties that receive data through the app are Google (AdMob ads, Google Play Billing and reviews) and the websites you choose to load. AnyWidget does not use Firebase or any analytics SDK of its own. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention and deletion
All app data lives on your device. Remove widgets, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app to delete it. See our data deletion page. Network connections use the security of the website you add (HTTPS where the site supports it).
Children
AnyWidget is not directed to children under 13.
